BUILD gives beginning readers a structured foundation through direct, multisensory instruction. Designed for kindergarten and first grade, its lessons build skills step by step with repeated practice, helping students connect speech sounds, letters, and written words.
Take Flight provides comprehensive dyslexia therapy that connects word reading and spelling with fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Its carefully sequenced instruction and extensive guided practice help students understand how English works and apply those skills to increasingly independent reading.
JET offers older students a faster-paced approach to structured reading intervention. It combines explicit instruction in sound and spelling patterns with purposeful practice in word reading, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension, making it a strong option for adolescents who need intensive support.
Reading by Design provides explicit, multisensory instruction that builds reading and writing skills in a systematic sequence. Embedded progress checks and review lessons help guide instruction and reinforce earlier learning, supporting students who need cumulative practice and individualized literacy intervention.
I’m the educator and reading therapist behind Read With MB. I offer personalized reading instruction, dyslexia therapy, and structured literacy tutoring for students in grades K–12 in Colorado Springs and beyond.
With two master’s degrees and over a decade of literacy experience, I bring evidence-based teaching and a relationship-centered approach to every session. Helping students grow into confident readers is my greatest joy.
I use an Orton–Gillingham approach that is diagnostic and responsive: ongoing assessment guides each lesson to match your child’s needs.
Outside of teaching, you’ll find me baking sourdough, hiking, or exploring downtown Colorado Springs with my husband, daughter Nora, and our goldendoodle, Twyla.

For effective remediation, I recommend 2–4 sessions each week. Scheduling options include Monday/Wednesday, Tuesday/Thursday, or Monday–Thursday, depending on availability.
The comprehensive literacy assessment examines reading, spelling, and underlying language skills, including whether your student demonstrates a profile consistent with dyslexia. You’ll receive individualized recommendations for intervention and support.
